Paula Daley
Paula Daley works for a North West Local Authority developing better housing options for people with Learning Disabilities.
She also does training and development consultancy on Supported Living, service development, Person Centred Working and housing options. Paula has worked on most areas of service delivery to people with Learning Disabilities over a 20 year period.
She studied for a BA Professional Studies (Learning Disability) in the early 1990s and has been employed since by several Local Authorities around the North West and voluntary and private sector care and support providers.
Paula was a Regional Manager with responsibility for developing KeyRing Living Support Networks in the North West and has been a Senior Manager in a provider organisation. She has also been instrumental in the development of community based day services and resettlement from long stay hospital.
During a career break in 1999 Paula spent 15 months living and working in Eastern Europe for the VSO project Bulgarian Partnership Project. She worked as part of the Municipal Social Services area team to introduce concepts such as inclusion, planning and individualisation to adult services in Bulgaria.
Paula is Lancashire born and bred but now lives in Liverpool.
