Janet is the Joint Commissioning Manager for adults with learning disabilities in Leeds. Social work trained, Janet has nearly 30 years experience of working in the learning disability field in a variety of settings.
Janet managed the resettlement team who supported the discharge of people with learning disabilities from the Leeds long stay hospital.
Other roles have included managing a residential service for children and young people with complex needs and developing and managing a joint care management team.
Janet is the Lead Officer for Valuing People Now in Leeds and last year was a peer reviewer on the joint review of ‘commissioning services and support for people with learning disabilities and complex needs’ published March 2009.
